Encourages people to work on gear to be able to craft them.

Slightly better gear than being able to do 2 star plus the strongest craftmanship/control food and you should be able to be able to craft them. There's no visible difference between NQ and HQ so the requirement is lower than let's say the Eikon/High Mythrite sets.

It was mostly to keep people doing ancient content we have no reason to do due to the lack of actual content in the updates, so the requirements is fairly high simply to make sure people are doing red scrips (you don't need it though but it helps immensely) and to make sure there's people doing the content to circulate the tomes above all, since instead of using materials found in content that NEEDS a boost, like Diadem, they chose to make us run Binding/Second Coil again for added drops and 3.3 will no doubt drop the items for Final Coil replicas.

That's a very negative way to look at it.

It's basicly just so that non-raiders (i.e. most people with an actual busy job) can get similar looking gear without having to run the content. I'd want some pieces myself for glamours, especially now that they're dyable due to this. And since they cant magically make the material items appear out of thin air, they put them in older content so they re-do that as well. Why? Because it was fun to do back then apparently.

From a crafter standpoint i dont completely agree with it since i dont raid thus cannot get the materials, but from a buyer's perspective i would be happy to get my hands on some of the breastplates for instance without having to go through the hassle.

Hmm not really negative, it's more along the lines of:

Binding Coil and Second Coil is 2013 and 2014 era content and in terms of vertical progression, much like Wanderer's Palace Normal, we shouldn't be doing it anymore at all in 2016. So while it allows non-raiders to get it, having a job isn't really a point because I was working 2 jobs, one of which had projects that went on for up to 16 hours every now and then and I still managed to clear and farm them in their prime.

The main problem is, you do Turn 9, it drops gear and it drops the tome to craft the gear, so essentially..you may as well should just farm the content for the gear and be on your way, adding in the tomes and music sheet just pushes us back into content rather than make new content.

Lore wise, the gear should exist in any Allagan Hotbed, meaning they could have EASILY added some content to Azy that dropped the tomes, or even a vendor there, or hell as I said, tossed it into Diadem in order to draw SOME appeal to that content. Anything. Just throwing it into the turns you get the gear doesn't make sense at all, since you're still basically piggy backing on those of us who can clear the content. So if they're treating the tomes as a "token" it should have worked more like Savage Alexander tokens:

Basically get 1x token of (insert) for every clear which you can then exchange for a piece of gear based on that token you gathered, similar to newer primals. See? Nothing negative, just a wasted opportunity for them to do something new/unique. If they wanted it to be crafting related, the materials should have been spread out, not from the content that already drops the gear.

Kojiro, take that realistic, non-hardcore perspective someplace else!

"Realistic" is getting over it and doing the far outdated content that you already outgear if you play even 2 hours a week at best in the current patch cycle, rather than shrugging it off because apparently having a job makes you unable to do content you can clear in 3-5 minutes unsynced. Not to mention a "realistic approach" wouldn't have been adding the items to make the craftable version obtainable from the same content because why not just do the content at that point? Since you know, you wouldn't even be able to get the items unless people are doing it, and based on prices of the actual materials, you have plenty of people spamming them. Not to mention to even craft it you have to be a, dare I say, "hardcore crafter" using your logic on what constitutes hardcore.

So, his perspective is still wrong overall, since unless you're shelling out the gil, you still have to be "hardcore" to get this glamour :)

Seriously, when you front load your posts with so much negativity, I just can't bring myself to read anything else. You're too painfully negative! Just like I don't like playing games that I don't find fun, I can't bring myself to read through floods of complaining.

But you're still cool.

In related news, my new content static finally got eight people and in our first week we got to stage II of Thordan Ex! Mountaintop, here we come!
