Weekly Goals and Accomplishments 10/31 - 11/6Follow

It's Halloween! How do you plan to spend your weekend and the first week of November?

Also don't forget to "fall back" on Sunday if you're in the Daylight Savings Time zones.

1. Chug through some more of the storyline
2. Unlock and clear Snowcloak to get my Expert roulette back
3. Defeat Shiva
4. Complete my very first soldiery book for Bravura ^^
5. Spam Syrcus Tower for tank gear and bard gear and oils/sands

I'm not in a rush to unlock Rogue. I won't be leveling it for a long time anyway. Or maybe I will unlock it and get it to 15 or so via leves.

Well Tesee is still out of town, I pick her up Sunday night. So no new content for me yet..
Also we got a house this week but that is mainly for her till they allow people to share personal housing.
I might run some of the new dungeons though and need a ST..

Mainly will end up crafting, still trying to get Blacksmith up..
I dont like this class it requires to many other jobs to level.. I thought it would be easy since I have GSM and ARM up to 50 but requires Carpentry and leather mostly which I still have low level..

Weekend Goals:

1. Down T9 on Saturday.

2. Keep spamming T4. With added loot worth 600k dropping every fight, and the fact that you can now desynth the allagan gear for a chance at 6 of those 600k pieces dropping, and tanking it gets me closer to a paladin nexus and a lion mount, and gives me a bit of soldiery, I'm all in. Plus if you get lucky and someone joins who is new, that is a free 100 soldiery.

3. Save 1300 soldiery. Halfway there. Need to buy the ninja 110 weapon.

4. Level the rogue when I'm not doing anything.

Next Weeks Goals:

1. Rush on Tuesday to get the remaining poetic I need to buy the 120 bard chest.

2. If I beat T9 this weekend, practice T10 with the static. I've watched vids on T10 and T11, neither look too terribly difficult. Still wondering how the heck anyone figured out T7 when it first came out. That one is so much harder than 10 and 11, imo.

3. Keep leveling ninja, leveling towards nexus, and gearing my lower classes. Once everything is at 110, I can stop and upgrade my crafting gear, I think.

Two and a half books to finish this relic stage on MNK, and I think I can knock out most of those this week. I hate having to spend the same tomes on books that I need for Soldiery gear, but so it goes. Since it was a fairly late decision to go MNK relic weapon, my WHM actually has the almost full Soldiery gearset and I'm playing catch-up on MNK. The DPS waits are killing me these days, but that should ease off as NIN/ROG loses its shiny.

Did Hullbreaker first time last week, so this week it's the first Thornmarch, Crystal Tower, and Ultima on my quest list to try. I'll be happy to do one of those this week.

BLM is now 45 as of last night, so now it's time to catch up my SMN to that level for the next joint gear upgrade.

1. Do the Shiva and Ultros fights
2. Cap Poetics, since that's what all the cool kids are doing (plus, I'll be doing expert roulettes for Alexandrite maps anyway)
3. Work a bit on Rogue. Ideally, I'd like to get to 16 for low level roulette, but I'll be fine with 10 for guildhest roulette.
4. Start on getting another crafting class to 50. Got LTW to 50 last night, so that's two of them (with CUL). The beastmen quests are a really easy way to get them up.
5. See if I can get oils or sands out of ST. Maybe I need to see if I can sweet talk the FC into doing an entire alliance and then we could rotate our way through getting sands and oils...

Well holy crap I got blacksmith to 50 in one day from around 30... I just powered leved through it with all HQ items.. So glad that's over... what craft is next?
Ran ST a lot and got no sands or oils.. even with 98 lots I lost.
Ran 2 of the new dungeons...

Tes put up her house. Anyone ever notice the small house is not proportional inside to out side.. Looks wide from the front and when you get inside it is narrow...

Update:

Fight is frustrating.... Best was down to 14% this go, but we got through divebombs. Problem is that someone always thunders the party, or the main tank dies. I am 100% confident I will down it on nerf day. No coil this next weekend so if they don't nerf it by 11/15 I'll see if some better gear helps with something (although I dont think gear is our problem)

No longer are the coil 1 allagan drops (that craft into the new wootz gear, etc) worth 600k. Now more like 70-90k. SE did a good job of making the mats for the new craftable gear easily obtainable. I only won one roll this weekend, but I am happy with the progress nonetheless. Money making in general is not going as easy as I hoped, I'm pretty much breaking even. Big spenders are putting it into the new craftable gear. One day, mark my words, those clear demimateria are going to skyrocket. Until then, fieldcraft demimateria III are at an all time low, from people like me campling out at the shop in Uldah that sells the best man's wedding clothes and desynthing the living daylights out of best man's gaiters. But I'm making back what I put in, so that's good.

UAT, sands, and 10 rowena's tokens all set for that ninja 110 weapon. Now all I need is a ninja at 50... (just hit 32 this morning, but like it better than monk and drg). I just have 4 logs, so I'll have to run ST a few times for sands... I will need 3 (one for belt, one for chest, one for gloves). I can use my high allagan bard jewelry and auroral stuff on the ninja for the dex, and I have the high allagan monk boots. I'll probably spend all my allied seals on the weathered gloam... and the goal is to have it as close to 110 as possible once I hit 50. I may actually be 110 at 50 if I can get the sands.

Bonus:

I beat Shiva Ex this weekend. Very forgiving fight if your tanks and healers know what they are doing. Easier than Ramuh Ex and Moogle Ex. Many would say easier than Titan Ex, but I personally think ol rock hands is pretty predictable.

858 / 2000 light towards paladin nexus. Progressing slooooooooowwly.

I like the Shiva fight! The Ultros fight, well, there were times that I felt like breaking my keyboard. On the bright side, I did end one fight where people apologized to the healers (I was on WHM) for the rough run.

Done! Haven't spent any since I want to get a new piece of armor.

Got it to 22. I burnt leves on it because the wait times for low level and guildhest roulettes were terrible. I think the worst part is being a solo ROG searching and not even getting another person added at all for the longest time (I think low level finally came up after 60+ minutes had already passed).

I brought up my ALC to 26. There are some advantages in being the last crafting job to level since I can make all the component pieces, provided I have the materials. I've been a bit tired of the Echtal Nine quests though.

Didn't do ST at all. Ah, well.

Illsaide and Valk - feel free to ask the LS Tank Bank (tm) for some help with roulettes. Sparrow and I are working on GLD right now for this very reason.

Low level roulettes still require you to queue as a single player, unfortunately. I do like the bonus that brings, but I'm also thinking that the initial rush should (hopefully) die down in the next week or so.

Got ninja to 47. May as well finish it.

I'd like to cap my [insert name of new points here] tomes this week atleast, i dont want to fall behind.

At the same time i too wanna spam ST for Gear, Oils and Sands. 13 minute queue on PLD, 2-3 minute queue on WHM. But could use the gear more for WHM (still wearing mostly i90 stuff)

Just... simple stuff, i guess.

Got NIN to 50 on Monday Smiley: waycool

Bought the soldiery weapon and immediately upgraded it with a sand I've been sitting on for quite a while.

Ran the new dungeons for the first time, re-unlocked expert roulette

Did some ST and bought a poetics accessory, bringing NIN to i94, which immediately makes it my best-geared job.

Caught up on Hildebrand's story, which meant going through the 2.3 stuff and then 2.4. I was way behind.

Fought Ultros and unlocked trial roulette again.

Hmm, what did I do this week?

Bought the land I wanted and built my house. I did a few cosmetic things to the outside but the inside is completely empty. I don't have a reason to even go in there really. I might be able to get into decorating it if I could preview things without having to have them in my inventory first. I don't really feel like spending several million on flooring and furniture just to see what it looks like. But, I mostly wanted the house to be able to garden and work on my chocobo (which after a couple tries is now Midnight Blue) so I'm not going to complain about that one too much. My first attempts at gardening made me enough gil to pay for both the deluxe garden patch and the stable. Between that and people pathetically overpaying for magic stable brooms (which are practically impossible to fail the synth if you have a level 50 Carpenter) I'm on the way to making back all the gil I spent.

I finished off the main story, which was for the most part incredibly uninteresting. The Ishgard bits weren't bad, but that entire Ivy storyline was just awful. It was so bad that I literally fell asleep clicking through one of the Ivy cut scenes. I woke up with the controller on the floor and a bit of drool on my chest.

I also ran all three new dungeons, which feel way too much like that last three new dungeons. I know they don't have a huge team working on this stuff, but they really need to come up with some variety.

Lastly, I started the slow process of leveling ROG/NIN. I'm up to level 20 so far and it feels almost exactly like a squishier version of DRG. Hopefully the NIN abilities will differentiate it a bit. I've really been taking my time on this one. Since I have all the crafts I need to make my own gear, I've been stopping every few levels to make a new set of HQ stuff. I usually make a few extra pieces to sell to the lazier folks. If someone's willing to pay me 20k gil for a pair of knives I made with stuff I already had in my inventory, I see no reason to stop them.
