Merc Stats is a start. I'm
going to finished re-arrange it, so that the HP, Regen, Mana, FT, etc. are at the top and sortable against the various Tiers and types and level of mercs. I just did it like that to get the basics down. Once I looked at it, it became clear it needed to be different for comparisons.
Got any ideas on how to determine the values? PvP and first snaring or other non-damage debuff to keep them in combat mode, and then nuking them while Passive and noting how much damage was done and what % it took them too, should give a good idea of HPs after a few different nukes (average 4 or 5 or more of them out). Same thing, but see how many seconds it takes to completely regen and average the HP Regen per Second out for Regen. Similar thing for Mana, but using a Mana drain nuke.
Mitigation, Avoidance, (not sure if we can estimate AC, but maybe from mitigation and avoidance percentages), and DPS, would be merc vs merc, same level, one on passive, the other not and manual assist. Not sure if any parsers can automatically figure up mitigation, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure it up, from the offensive ones, base damage and damange bonus calculations, then comparing that to the average hit on the defensive ones, to see what part of the 1-20 random damage bonus they're getting hit with. Most parsers do avoidance %, and most do DPS, so that part would be pretty easy from the parse.
Got any other ideas? I'd thought about breaking it down farther into separate races, just to be sure, there weren't any differences, but figured, I'd just go like this until an error appeared with one or more races, since the developers say, they're exactly the same other than an illusion of race.
EDIT: What's really sad, is I used to do this kinda stuff all the time, although not on such a grand scale as almost all mercs, but researching stuff and doing lots of parses and the like. I just can't seem to make myself do it any more. :( And just wondering about other ideas, as I'll put general instructions on the bottom of the page for anyone that wants to do any of the work. Oops, just realized I didn't put a set of levels in there either. Hmm.
