Knight-Lieutenant Alesso at the castle gates of North Qeynos will reward you if you would exterminate some vermin in Antonica. You must kill:
- 10 Rats
- 10 Beetles
- 10 Snakes
Any type of each will do.

While looking for a bit of adventure I came across Knight-Lieutenant Alesso, who guards the gates. He said I could serve Qeynos by ridding Antonica of its vermin: rats, snakes and beetles.
I've killed the vermin that Sir Alesso tasked me with.
I've spoken with Knight-Lieutenant Alesso.I've lowered the vermin population quite a bit out in Antonica. Knight-Lieutenant Alesso was pleased with my efforts and paid me for my service to Qeynos.
Stage 1
I need to head out into Antonica and kill the vermin that infest the land; rats, snakes and beetles. Knight-Lieutenant Alesso said I should kill about ten of each.| Start: | I need to kill ten rats. |

As of June 24th this is still bugged...it seems to be a simular bug that is also effecting a quest in Darklight Woods...Also killing snakes and no updates...the quest seems to work every like 50 attempts or so
Just make sure to report these in game using the /bug command!

I cannot find these snakes either. Lowland vipers dont seems to work. Any advice?

Trying to do this quest on my 9 swashbuckler right now. I have been killing lowland vipers in Antonica and no updates have resulted. I'm not sure whether to keep the quest or just delete it. Wish I could get it to work since it has been mentioned that it's excellent experience. =(
As of 1/20/07...and with a 19 Dirge...
"A Dale Snake" in Antonica did not give credit towards this;
"A Lowland Viper" in Antonica did not credit;
"A Rock Adder" in Forest Ruins did not credit;
"A Cave Serpent" in the Caves did not credit;
"An Albino Python" in the Caves did not credit;
"A Coiled Burrower" in the Down Below did not credit;
At level 19, I kept this quest because Alesso was bugged for awhile. Now that she speaks to me again, I couldn't get any snakes to give credit, so I'm giving up on it.

I should ahve added something to my last post: someone mentioned this but it hasn't been updated; you need to kill 10 beetles, not mites. I killed beetles and rats in Oakmyst Forest and killed snakes in The Forest Ruins - all trivial kills at level 9 and all counted toward fulfilling the quest.

At level 9 I'm getting 12-13% experience each time I do the quest. Since I'm still running around doing a few things for the level 10 requirements, it's good and easy extra xp.

I just keep renewing this at low level as the 9S is nice to collect whenever I run past. Any snakes, rats and beetles anywhere seem to satisfy the quest - I have picked it all off twice in two walks through the down below.

I have run this quest twice and found that you don't have to make the kills in Antonica. You can kill any rats, snakes, or beetles anywhere in Norrath and it will count towards this quest

i got 9silver for it and i did not have to kill any kliknik mites.
These are klicnik mites not beetles =)

is there a corresponding quest in Freeport? the reward isnt bad for low levels needing money...

Never mind. This quest is kind of misleading as you have to kill the klinik MITES and not bettles.

I think this quest is bugged because when i return to Alesso to complete the quest he doesn't talk to me.Maybe because i am level 20?

Yes...This quest is repeatable...and dull. All the kills are found right outside the gates of Qeynos.

You can do this quest it seems as many times as you want to, I've gained 4 levels just running this quest back to back to back alone in the past 2 hours.

This quest is repeatable. I'm on my 7th run throughit atm.
