I have the quest can't walk past the force field, If I remember the quest info says that if you kill and get enuff bones you may get in the tower, well im a master skeletin hunter and still can't get in?? So maybe it is a time of day/night thing?

No, it is an access quest thing. I wrote all the run-thru's for that when I was still with EQ2i. I have gone back thru what I wrote there and cannot find the quest that grants the access. I thought it was THIS quest...

The access quests are given by NPC Unlara Valarin. They are called:
(1) Studying the old (kill skeletons, collect bones).
(2) Studying the ancient (kill ancient skeletons, collect bones).
(3) A spirit key (this quest).

you just walk in if you have the quest if you dont have the quest go get it from (carthen Olaren's) it the wanderlust fair just up the road on the right by the tents. the reward is as follows
5 silver 78 copper
Ancient Bone Kite sheild for (Shadownights, Paladin, Guardians, Berserker)
Atrabutes +4sta 20 health 10 power 30 heat, cold, magic, mental, devine, disease and poison

or
Ancient Bone Targe for (all scouts, Berserkers,Shadownights, Paladin, Guardians)

Atrabutes +sta 15 health 15 power 30 heat, cold, magic, mental, devine, disease and poison

The whole quest can be done invis with one minor exception (see below).
When you get into the Tower of Bone you'll see a few lvl 20 Briarstone Ancients (no arrows). They cannot see invis.
The tome you are looking for is on the very top of the Tower of Bone. Take the spiral stairs up. On top you'll see two aged tome guardians. They are not attackable. In the center is on a desk the spellbook you are looking for. When you grab it your invis breaks and the two tome guardians will attack you. They are now lvl 20 double down arrow. If you can't handle that then bring someone along.
After you killed them invis up and go back to Unlara.
