This is a Heritage quest. It starts from Cru Naseto in Antonica near the Northern city gates. He will refer you to Selinda Whispersong in Antonica to begin the Antonican race. ( -381, -10, 207 ).
She gives you 14 minutes to visit the following locations and return to her:
Tower of Vhalen: -1300, 38, 45
Keep of the Gnollslayers: -2121, -46, 415
Ruins of Caltorsis: Near the shores, surrounded by undead: -1302.76, -30.16, -786.84
and back to a line between the 2 guard towers where you started. Do not go directly to Selinda Whispersong as you will be short of the line. Just run straight between the towers until you see the update. Then go talk to her.
If you manage to beat the timer she will send you to The Commonlands to speak to Sian D'ior-948, -49, -58 . From Freeport head west along the road until you come to the tower and wall where Sergeant Borus is stationed. Sian D'ior is found on the opposite side of Sergeant Borus, a bit hidden away. Speak to him. He will send you on a race to the following locations:
Crossroads: -488, -45, -317
Lucan's Mount: 10, -15, -741 (Terrathud is at the top of the mount, beware he has a knockback attack, but you can fall safely back into the water).
The third leg of this quest starts with Lessa Gentare in the Thundering Steppes. She is located at the docks. You have 13:30 to run it. This step may be impossible without evac, a strong potion of the wolf, or a mount. You must visit:
Thundermist Village 550, -10, -27
Deadview Pass 829, 10, 670
Shrine of the Sirens - About 50m out from beach as far west as you can go on the map (the little bump on beach) at 1481, -20.4, 239
If you use the horses, remembering to jump off at the appropriate points, you can finish with more than six minutes on the timer without an evac.
From there you must go to the Enchanted Lands and speak to Banoo Corest at the Granary. You only receive 8 minutes for this leg of the race. Locations are as follows:
Runnyeye Ward: 164.60, 0, -428.59
Tagglefoot Farms: -724, 0, -682.79
Camp Ghobber (Nightblood Tower on your overland map): -790, 0, -939
Goblin Pass: 220, 0, -750
Lookout Stump: 330.93, 0, -420
Back to Granary: 223, 0, -278
The ward is just north of the granary, it's the big totem on the hill before the holes in the Wall. Tagglefoot Farms is along the river, right next to Foomby for the EE bag quest. Camp Ghobber is way to the NE of the map, looks like a tower with a bunch of spike barricades around it and sometimes Overseer Ix (a nasty Evil Eye). Think Orcs in Warcraft type building. From there, as the other poster said, just evac and run the last two steps. Lookout Stump is marked as Halfling Lookout Point on your overland map, and the goblin pass is just north of that, over the ridge and around the edge of the mountain.
The next leg after this is in the Feerrott. This leg is given by Chon Ar'edij-118.63, 7.41, -74.82 . He will not give it to you unless you are level 30+. After exiting the tunnel from the docks you can just hug the left wall to visit him. You must visit:
Cru Naseto told me about a group of people who've gotten together to run the old bard mail routes. I'm going to try and beat the times in each place they've set up routes.

I've bested and set every single record on each of the seven tracks. I've come a long way since I first set foot in Antonica. Chon Ar'edij's journey must have been similar to my own. Perhaps later, I will be able to forge new times in other areas.
Consideing that thousands of people completed it in the three-ish years before guild halls were introduced, I'm going ot disagree with you :) I do believe I used Escape, though.
For the TS part....set your recall next to ticket guy in your home city, then call home from grave pool..you go back to ts docks near the finish line . 2 minutes to spare with wolf totem
I ran this yesterday with a lvl 66 Guardian. Finished it with over 2 minutes to spare. It took me 3 tries due to the occasional bugged checkpoint updates. I used Spirit Totem of the Chokidai for a 45% run boost. (lvl 65 totem lasts for 30 minutes). The checkpoints can be buggy, so be patient. It may take a couple of tries to get the update. I only used a griffon once. That was from Thundermist Village to the Deadview Pass checkpoint (jumping off at bottom of the pass). Ran the rest of the course. Did it along with a lvl 35 sk who only had a 32% speed horse. They finished with about 1 1/2 minutes to spare on the 4th try. GL
I ran this last night all the way through on a lvl 30 Dirge. If you use the griffons to your atvantage and bail off at the right points, this will cut down run time.. i used the griffons in ts to go from thundermist to the dead view pass and jumped off. at the giants.. then i took the griffon from clod wind point, back to thunder mist villiage and jump off the griffon at the dead pool.. left plenty of time to get back to the dock.. Same goes with Nek. go to the pond (the first site) then run back and take griffon tower to N'marrs. after you hit Nek Castle, run back to N'mars then take griffon again go the dock (don't for get to go all the way to N'mars before you take the griffon... you'll have to run back..) after on the griffon going to the dock.. jump off at the bridge, the griffon flies right over it.. run to the dock, take griffon back to Commonlands gate.. run across bride and back to quest giver.. Plenty of time.. the only zone i hade trouble with was Ferrott, (at lvl 31 now) spiders make it tuff.. I started half way through LvL 30, when I finished the quest it lvled me to lvl 32, and i gaind 2 AA's.
On the NEktulos run, if you take griff FROM N'Marr DON'T forget to jump off at the bridge! That is an update, and you will have to run from there to the docks. THEN you can take the griff from docks back to CL.
Just found a new way to beat the clock on the TS race.
step 1. Set your recal point right by the ticket seller in your home town. Step 2. Go to TS start the race. Step 3. After hitting last checkpoint, call home. Step 4. Buy a ticket back to TS.
If you don't have escape, be sure to cross over the dock escape point at -430, -382 before talking to Lessa Gentare or she will not give you the update. She doesn't show a book for the update until you cross over this point.
I've completed this quest several times with alts. You have to be level 30 to do the Feerrott run and if you know the zone, it's easy to do at that level.
In the quest, from start to finish, at level 30 I get 2 levels on the character and 4 aa points.

hey, if u need help with any of these, im on the befallen server and my name is darkstruck, i have saved maps of where to go i did on gimp, i can do each one with 2 mins to spare, pst if u need help, ill be glad to help u :)
Just compleated TS run with splitpaw shard and sow only with mere seconds to go and I wasted probably 30 secs total waiting to make sure the locations took
I am not sure why the loc for Caltorsis was so dificult to post here, I also notice it is missing from any ogaming blerbs. Here it is, the complete locs for the Antonican run.
Tower of Vhalen: -1300, +38, +45 Keep of the Gnollslayers: -2121, -46, +415 Ruins of Caltorsis: -1410.19, -13.88, -744.39 Tower of the Oracles: -1024, +13, -614 Keep of the Ardent Needle: -403, +15, -304 near Knight Grel Stoneshearer
this can help, droag scale swill stacks with pathfinding, rand the entire thing on one drink at a constant 56% speed boost, finished ts with over 5 min left.
Ok.This HQ is really pretty easy. I ran it with my char at lvl 30 and was lvl 32 when I finished. I was sneaking almost all the way and didn't have any problem to finish the circuits it in time ;)
Antonica : Easy enough to run since everything is grey. Evil players should avoid running over bridges or else they might get killed by a guard. If you should have problem to finish the tour in time, just take a griff from Keep of the Gnollslayers to Tower of the Oracles and jump somewhere around Ruins of Caltorsis. That should save few minutes.
Commonlands : Shouldn't be any problem
Thundering Steppes : A way to save time here is to let the sirens kill you at the Shrine of the Sirens ( that's why I recommend you to be low lvl so they aren't grey to you ) it's possible to drown too, but it takes a longer time. But before you die don't forget to get the update !!! Then revive at Thundermist Village and fly to Coldwind Beach. You should sneak before you fly, because you will have to jump somewhere at the skindancer gnolls to get update for Shrine of Decay. First hail the griffon tamer so you get up option where you wanna fly and then sneak. This way you will fly invissible ;) Then continue to Coldwind Cove and after you've got the update fly to Southeast Station and jump at the Grave Pool. Don't forget to sneak before you fly or after you've jumped off you will get many things on you. Be prepared to waste few seconds (if not minutes) on getting the update though. Then just depart if you have a scout with you or run to Southeast station and fly to Antonica. Then from Antonica fly again to Southeast and jump off the griff somewhere at the beach.
Nektulos Forest : Run to Behemoth pond and then back to Commonlands station. Fly to N'Marr's Ascent and from N'Marr Ascent fly to Bone Lake. When you fly over the river jump off and run up the Gargoyle gorge to Nek castle. Then run down N'Marr's Ascent (get the update !!! ) fly to Commonlands station and jump at the D'Abbth Bridge. Then run over the bridge to Port Naythex. Watch out for all the wolves and spiders though. Then just depart or take a griff back to Commonlands station.
Zek : Quite easy. Just type /waypoint and the location listed above ;)Some mobs can see through invisibility though so you should be really careful while running this. Especially around the Deathfist Citadel. When you've run over the Access Bridge of Zek, keep as much to the left as possible. Try to run along the mountain range to avoid meeting with nasty ^^^ mobs. Sometimes there's a named patrolling the road so watch out for him too. From the mine it's just to depart or you can run in one of the tunnels and get killed. You will end up at the docks as if you departed ;)
Enchanted Lands : Not that hard either even if you might get little stressed with having only 8 minutes to run the whole circuit. As someone said just depart from Camp Ghobber. If you can't depart, let something kill you, revive at the docks and run to Goblin Pass. Be carefull not to get close to any void watchers because they seem to have eyes even on their backs and see really far.
Feerrott : No problem. /waypoint and the location. You will need to do this if you're low lvl since your map will be black. At the end depart from the Murdunk's Fall. Or once again try my favourite dying way - just let the maidens kill you :o) Revive at the docks and run back to Chon for your boots status points :) Good luck!
If you have problems with the Thundering Steppes part, you can use the splitpaw teleport shard and save 1-1,5 mins between Shrine of Sirens and Shrine of Decay.
I finished the TS run with 5.23 left on the timer, on a 40% horse, using splitpaw shard and evac from grave pool.
This quest is REALLY easy guys!!! ;D I was lvl40 Guardian when started the running! Antonica, Commonlands i ran without any help! For Thundering Steppes buy from merchant Speed totems and for later places Tiger and Bat totems! Thundering Steppes was easy then, Zek was a bit hard near Citadel, died 2 times, when i got to the citadel i just killed myself and revived at the forest that saved huge time. Then Enchanted land in 8 minutes is pretty easy actually too even for me!! Dont even need to use invisibility! Now Feerrott was tricky! When u get to the first checkpoint infront of the bridge but on invisibilty.. i ran over the bridge and all the way to lookout tower and then started to run without invisibilty! Got to waterfall and then quickly killed myself and revived at docks :D and DONE!!! Only took 2hours and got GREAT boots.. mitigation 360 smth smth... and over 40% EXPERIENCE!!! Got to lvl41 :) now need 70% more to use boots :D
Finished with lvl 39 Templar and a Droag Scale Swill (40%) kept vitae up through Feerott...TS only nasty spot overall. On Feerott for lower levels: don't try to cut through leapers, you'll lose more time in stuns than it's worth. Keep to road up to temple. I got through with 2 deaths and still had time to make it...got caught up just before Temple of Vul and had to run from CT. As to the other death, hint: if you get to the falls and have about 1 min to 1.5 minutes left, let the mobs around kill you...it'll be faster for you to die and run to end guy from dock than trying to run around.
Finished it start to finish as a 50 templar with a 32% horse. No evac needed - the hardest part for me was Thundering Steppes. Nektulos Forest is trivial with griffon access.
I have been stuck on the TS leg for a while. I stoped an came back to it tonight and I'm getting ready for my 3rd attempt tonight.
#1 for the night I had issues right off the bat. had lag issues that held me from getting to Thundermist in a timely fashion. I missed something like 1.5 mins of the bat due to lag. Still... I missed the mark by maybe 15 secs. I was in the area where Capt. Whatsits walks around when I ran out. OK... gave me hope.
#2... Running like the wind... hitting every mark almost early it seemed the updates where coming in fast when I got to the points. That is until the last point before the final leg, The Grave Pool. It just would not update.
I had gotten so used to everything updateing and the pool was always an easy update for. After I left it and crossed under the Giants Bridge for the home strech I had 4 mins... 4 fing MINUTES I was PSYCHED!!! I had finally done it... Then I happened to notice that it still sadi Grave Pool in the quest. NOOOO!!!!!!
OK... 4 minutes... no sweat run back tag and spam sprint... But noooo it refused to update. I had to walk all over the damn pool. Skellies bashing me left and right. I got knocked down... it was a mess.
I ran oput of time BEFORE i passed Thundermist. My worst time yet.
TS route was simple. Three in party, 2 scouts and a monk. Both scouts use run buff and monk wolf buff. We ran the whole time until we reached Grave pool. We evac. then and finished with 3min 27sec left.
Can someone tell me the EXACT time limted for each run please. Some of my guild is trying to to it togather and sice it finished my I said I'll help and ive been trying to redo them with a 15min limit and im not sure if thats correct so if anyone could tell me it would be of of great help
I completed this HQ last night with little or no trouble, as a 44 ranger. Granted i spent a good deal of time researching this quest. For the TS leg i used a combination of Griffions and Evac to finish with 4:36 on the clock. The only zone that gave me any real trouble was Feerott, when i died on my way to the Bridge. I evaced, ran to the bridge and finished with 3 seconds left. Thank you to everyone that has posted hints and help for this it made the quest so much easier.
not that i think itll make a whole lot difference, but if you can afford to (aka are high enough level to grey out) you should take off as much power-giving gear as possible. Sprint bases itself off your % of power, whereas drink replenishes a hard capped number. Same power from a drink in a higher power pool is a quicker regen for sprint, just a thought
Completed TS leg with no evac. Used Unholy Steed lvl 20 fun horse spell that has speed bonus. I ran river to TM village, ran to Deadview Pass, Ran to Siren Shrine, ran back to TM Village and hopped Griffon to Coldwind Cove, ran to shrine, back to cove, and ran to pool. Then I used the bind in EFP dock and once credited with Grave Pool, I Call of Overlord back to EFP and buy a ticket to TS dock and run to finish line. Had 30s or so to spare. Completed at lvl 35. Before I started, I bound myself to the EFP dock right next to the ticket merchant.
Completed TS leg with no evac or griffons. I used a 40% bonus horse and some minor route planning. Finished with a little over one minute left. All mobs are also grey so there was no outside interference.
TS CAN be done with out evac- Bind your self in QH at the ticket merchant. Do the run around with at least 40% run speed or horse- at the Grave pool call of Quenos, buy ticket to stepps and return to steps dock then run through starting posts! We did this with 2:33 to spare and an LD! LOL
The TS leg is a breeze if you use the Grifons a lot. All I had was the halasian draft horse for speed bonus. Heres how I did it.
I used the grif from Thumdermist toward Coldwind and jumped off at Deadview, ran to shrine then back to Thundermist to fly to coldwind jumped off right before landing hit the shrine then back to the coldwind station. Flew toward the South East station jumped off in the pool. I ran to the South East station and flew toward Antonica and jumped off in Thundermist. Jumped on the Thundermist grif toward Antonica and jumped off at the bridge then ran to the end. Over 2 mins remaining at the end.
The Feerot is insanely easy. As a 35 Monk, I stayed close to the river, invised a bit to go east after the first checkpoint, and once my power was drained, I simply waited until I had about half power left (with a lvl30 drink of course). I had a 32% horse, but it doesn't help when invised...so, have fun, this is one of the easiest routes.
You can use Griffs to do jboots so - in the TS part get the griff from Coldwind and jump off (space bar) right in the middle of the Pool (final part). The bird flies right over it! Then teleport/evac outta there. Same idea with the Nek Forest part - why run all the way from Behemoth Pond to Gargoyle Gorge - it's miles! Just sprint back to the CL Griff Stn, fly to N'Marrs then take another Giff from N'Mars to Bone Lake. Watch your map carefully and jump off right at the entrance to the Gorge. Of course this might mean you take too much falling damage if you are lower levels and don't have safe fall ability. Happy landings and here's hoping you don't end up looking like a gnat on a car windscreen.
Okay, for Antonica, the Oracle Tower is NOT at -1032, +14. Giving only two numbers means that the coordinates you gave us is -1032, 0, +14, which is in the middle of a mountain way down south of the tower. The REAL coordinate is -1024, 13, -614. That -614 at the end is kinda important...
I just completed this HQ tonight with my 51 Paladin. The only speed buff I used was the level 20 Paladin Horse, which grants a 10% speed bonus. I did not use evac or die (to teleport to a new location) at any time. I ran/rode and used griffons and I was able to complete every single zone with time to spare. The most challenging zone was Thundering Steppes and I had to revise my route and strategy several times, but was able to do it all by running/riding and using griffons. I didn't need to suicide myself as one previous poster recommended, to teleport myself to a new location. Feerrott was incredibly easy and I completed it on my first attempt, even after running the wrong direction and having to back track a considerable distance.
Finder i did do Zek with invis most of the time, just have to figure a path and go. I ran to the ring then went invis, i back tracked to the lake and evaced in the mines to end with about 2 minutes.
I did this quest couple days ago as a lvl 33 warlock. No help from anyone, and I didn't use any potions nor totems. It's very doable, once you figure out the routes.
1) Antonica Route - Follow the map given by Zheff. Run to Tower of Vhalen, then to Keep of Gnollslayers. Ride griffin all the way to Tower of Oracle. Run close to the sea (and under the Oracle Tower), to Ruins of Caltorsis. Run back to Oracle Tower, then to Keep or Ardent Needle, and finally around the mountain and pass the goal line.
2) Commandland Route - Here, a slight variation. After running through Crossroads, up to Lucan's Mounta, over to Zarvonn's Tower - I rode Griffin down and jumped off to reach Ring of nature. After running to ruins of Val'marr, I ran back to Griffin, and rode over to FP station, and jump off when I near the Turmoil Cemetary.
3) Thundering Steppes - Though Zheff say it's impossible without evac, he didn't have griffin back then. Follow Zheff's map, and run SW down the canyon and through the pass into village of thundermist (careful of big skellies). Then ride griffin to the Coldview Point, but jump of when you reach the deadview pass. After you get update for deadview pass, run straight NW up to Shrine of the Sirens. Now, as a level 33, they still aggro me, an that's good! Let the sirens kill you after you get update, and you will respawn back at Thundermist village. Ride griffin to Coldwind Point again, and jump off into the ocean close to Shrine of Decay. Run to the shrine, then run to Coldwind Cove. Now, ride griffin up to SE point, and jump off near Grave Pool. After you get update, you have 4~5 minutes to run to the starting point. Plenty of time to run the rest! (Or you can suicide again, respawn at Coldwind Cove, ride Griffin up north, and be even faster).
4) Nektulos Forest - Easy route by Ruppaloop. With one exception ~ I ran to Behemoth Pond, then run back to Griffin near commonland. I rode up to N'Marr Ascent, then rode griffin up to Bone Lake. Jump off as he indicated, near the Gargoyle Gorge. Run up to the Castle, and suicide at the entrance of Nektropos Castle. You'd respawn at Bone Lake. Ride Griffin to N'Marr's Ascent, get the update then ride Griffin to the Docks and jump off at the D'Abbth Bridge. Run to the Port Naythex, and ride griffin to Commandland.
5) Zek Route - Follow Zheff's map and instruction. With self-invis on, check your targets as you run to Grove Stones, Charred Vale, Access Bridge of Zek, then Deathfist Citadel. You can run back and barely make it or de-invis and suicide and you'll pop back up near the docks. Run to spirit lake then, and ride the elevator in deathfist quarry. You'd have plenty of time, so no need to die again (unless you're really lazy). Just run back to the starting point.
6) Enchanted Land Route - Run to Runneyeye ward, Tagglefoot Farm, and Camp Ghobber. Now, suicide, and you'll come back at the docks again. Run to Goblin Pass, then to Lookout stump, and back to granary. Did this with invis on most of the time.
7) Ferrott Route - Really the easiest. I had invis on at all times, and ran it the first time without trouble. Just follow Zheff's map if you haven't explored the place.
Just Completed The Journey is Half the Fun at 13:50 on 2/23/06.
The Only 2 Parts that are a problem Are Thundering Steppes, and The Feerrott. I finished with 50 Second to spare on the Thundering Steppes Run, that run is by far the hardest. and i got the Carpet.
The Feerrott was not a problem of time, i finished with 5 Minutes to spare, it was the MoBs that will mess you up. i was 48 and they stunned me ALOT! so i suggest that 45 up should do it so that they dont get killed then they get stunned :)
Maulic Silentfist, Gate Caller Builder Level 49 Monk Black rose Guild, lvl 40 ( almost 41 )
Finally got around to completing this HQ today on my lvl 42 Paladin! Everything was way easier that I thought, except for the Ferrott. After dying a few times I bought an invis charm and ran the whole thing invisible and had almost 2 min to spare! Good luck with this!
I did this quest from start to finish in one evening and as of Feb 6/06 the reward at 41 was just under 50k status but I did get almost 25% exp for it. Here is how it went for me: Ant was an easy run around, 1:30 left over. Just used sprint with drink in hand. Commonlands was an easy run around, 1:00 left. Just used sprint. TS went very easy, I used the griffon after going to the Shrine of Sirens to fly over to coldwind point and jumped off near the Shrine of Decay. I got to the docks with 45 seconds left, I hopped all the way to the back of the docks with no update, completely paniced and ran back to the quest giver, got the update on the way back to her with 2 seconds left. Just sprinting again. Nek was easy, just followed Ruupaloop's suggestions, 2:30 left over. Zek drove me insane, took 4 tries. Everything at 41 everything is blue and green but this is not a factor, you can leave everything behind with no issues, careful at the Citadel tho as there are alot of casters. The first time i just tried sprinting. The second time I got a wolf totem. The third time I got stuck on some rocks. The 4th time I had 3:00 left over. My BIGGEST problem was I didnt' know how to get down into the damn mine or back out. Figure this out first!! EL was an easy run took 2 tries because I forgot where goblin pass was. I had about 30 seconds left over. Still using the wolf totem here. Feerott was a long run that took 2 tries. I got lost running from the ruins over to the Alliz Tae outpost, wasted way too much time there. Careful passing the ruins btw, the lizardmen almost killed me one time because they kept managing to root me.
Good luck Padder of Highkeep soon to be ButcherKeep
One little trck you Freeport people can use for the TS leg of the race. Before you begin the race, bind yourself at the East Freeport docks.
Once you've completed the race up to the Grave Pool, use your Call of the Overlord to send you can to EFP and simply zone over to TS again and finish the race.
It's like having ghetto evac.
Used this little trick and finished the race with 1.30s to spare.
