Vaughn's Stuff  

Where is Outlander Vaughn hiding...can't seem to find him in Forest Ruins.
Any help will be gratly appreciated

Ok this is in serious need of updating so... here goes.

First off, thank the gods they have nerfed the rarity of the drops here it would seem (nerfing SOME things is actually pleasant). You kill Blackfurl Deckhands for all the drops, the other pirates are just potential adds you should avoid. You never loot any tangible (inspecatable) items to clutter your bags, consider em a 'virtual loot' that you have credit for but never see the 'parts' of the quest.

Initially, you will be after the Satchel, then auto update after a moment and now you are after the contents from the satchel, first, the journal, then the ring then a sealed letter. (I should note as well that you should stay away from the water... just like in Jaws LOL, the Sodden Victims in the water are aggro and see through invis) Anyways, upon finding the letter you return to Vaughn and get a completely worthless bracer (no stats, Mit 18 lvl 2) as a reward >.< BUT... he sends you to deleiver the letter to Hunter Forestdeep in Willow Wood who gives you about the best questable DW peircing weapon this low in the game. Forestdeep hunting knife, +1 agi, +3 health, Dual weild, 2-6 dmg, delay 1.3, wt 1.0, lvl 7, all mages and scouts, as well as zerks and guards can use. I hope this helps and god speed. =D

I'm a lvl 9 Conjuror and the deckhands con yellow to me!! But the quest is blue to me. Got killed twice already. Not as easy as I thought. Any hints?

For a Scout this is an excellent quest, not an average one. Takes a little time, but you get plenty of exp and 2 good items out of it.

I believe this is just called the Vaughn quest. As a Scout, once I reclaimed and returned the stolen items (satchel, journel, ring and letter) to Outlander Vaughn and received the Firepride Blood Bracer [AC:3 (13 at level 7) Light Armor; Slot: Forearms] and some coin. After delivering the letter from Vaughn to Hunter Forestdeep, I received the Forestdeep Hunting Knife [Dual Weild; DMG: 1-4 (2-7 at level 14); +1AGI +3HEALTH; Base DMG: 2-5; Delay: 1.2; Slot: Secondary].
