The Troubling Truth  

In 2011 this quest was changed to be repeatable once per year.

You will be offered this quest from Professor Heribert ( -1924, -36, -610 ) Copy upon completing the quest Scary Scarecrows.

Once you've grabbed several friends and it's nighttime in game, go back to McQuibble Farm and head over to the smallest field around -1684,-16,-41 Copy . Professor Heribert spawns in this area (he should first appear around 8:00 PM game time); talking to him will trigger the fight.

Note: The professor is said to spawn at 8PM, 10PM, 12AM and 2AM game time. Once you spawn the professor, he will only stay up for 45 in-game minutes before despawning. If you miss all of the windows for triggering the fight you will have to wait for the next night to roll around.

The Scarecrow King (scales to your level!, epic x2, spawns at -1696,-18,-84 Copy ) along with four scarecrow guards must be defeated before your quest will update.

After the Scarecrow King is beaten, speak again to Ponchy Shorttoe to receive your reward.
