This quest is initiated by examining a rock near the watcher's field, close to one of the craters by the road 1149.93, -0.82, 83 in The Thundering Steppes.

You must slay Sabertooth or Skindancer Gnolls until you get an update. The quest then closes. You are given experience only, but a decent chunk of it.
