This item is initiated by examining the item "An Old Note". This item is dropped on monsters in the Oakmyst Forest (confirmed on Oakmyst Defenders, Oakymyst Spirits, Oakmyst Great Bears and Grubdigger).

The first step is to find a tree on an island in a lake. This is found just outside the Dryad caves, and must be examined to get credit. (+924, +2.22, -273)

The next tree you must find is on the left side of the waterfall, up the hill near the Corrupted Dryads (+914, +15, -199).

After finding this location you will receive your reward.

I found an old note wrapped around the neck of a great bear in the Oakmyst forest. Apparently, it was written by an old druid who lived here in the forest. This druid left something behind for those like me that spend time in the forest.

Stage 1

I must find the tree that the druid spoke of in his note. It should be on an island in the stream.

Start:	I need to find the tree on the island in the stream.
Complete:	I've found the tree on the island in the stream.

I found the tree the druid spoke of and it looks like he had a map hidden there.

Stage 2

I must find the tree overlooking the waterfall where the druid buried the token he left behind.

Start:	I need to find the tree overlooking the waterfall.
Complete:	I've found the tree overlooking the waterfall.

I found the token buried among the roots of a tree overlooking the waterfall.

After following a couple of clues, I was able to find the tree that the druid, Phyndin Silverystream, marked on the map he left in the tree. It seems the token he left behind was an earring he used to wear.
