Find Pythus the Rogue

i was running up and down the road because i got sick of waiting for him to pop and happened to notice the text in my combat chat say "guard calog has killed pythus" so make sure after you trigger the pop, you stay between pythus and the guards or you won't get credit for the kill.

Here's the real trick to trigger him...

If you're having a hard time getting him to trigger, run all the way back to the WFP gate...no need to zone, but you can if you want to...just run up to the gate and then (carefully, by STAYING on the road) run back up the road to the Crossroads...you should see him spawn as you get close to the trees...

i hate this damn quest why does it say lvl 10 quest when the npc is 14...

Just finished this quest a couple minutes ago. Pythus spawned when I ran by the sign between WFP and Crossroads.

Just toying around w/ a brig alt I picked up this quest....let me just say that it's a complete waste of time.

A level 8 quest, where you have to kill a level 14 mob, to get a level 4 reward....this needs some serious tweaking.

He seemed to spawn during the day. I was at the trees and he came walking up from the sign. He's not aggro.

The trigger for me was the sign post between Freeport and Crossroads. Right when I passed the sign, he triggered to the left.

I have run around and around the two trees on the path. I have yet to see the rogue, what am i doing wrong? It is the path from wfp to crossroads.

He is spawned via trigger. Seems to be around the rocks and tree stated. He does indeed come out of the south from the hill, and walks to the path ( to the rocks and tree) and turns to go up the crossroads

Saw Pythus today wandering closer to the West FP gates on the road. He is a level 14 solo mob. I killed him as a level 10 crusader alone. He's not tough, but he can hit hard at times. Just make sure you use your HO's and buffs.

Pythus isn't triggered as I found out the long and tiresome way. There is no trigger by the trees. He randomly spawns there every hour or so.

An add-on to my last comment (since we can't edit) When you spawn Pythus with the trigger..he will be on the Crossroads side of the rock pile farther up the road, walking from south to north (left to right if facing crossroads)

Pythus is a triggered spawn. Never had a problem getting him to spawn. The trigger is on the road coming from WFP to Crossroads, as you are coming from WFP you will come up to a pile of rocks near a tree right before you get to Crossroads...the trigger is near there. I have spawned him for 3 different characters in a matter of minutes doing this.

I have wandered around the crossroads for quite some time and have never seen anyone with this name. I have the quest but not sure exactly where this mob spawns.
