Shaman Medicus has become disoriented in Skyfire and needs you to show him the path back to The Overthere, but you will not need to lead him physically. He gives you a spirit leash to attach to his spirit companion.

Note: You must first complete both quest lines leading up to this quest before Medicus will offer you this quest.

Shaman Medicus summons his spirit companion. Target the companion and use the leash he gave you.

WARNING! If there are others present, warn them first of what you are about to do! The person who talks to Medicus and spawns the companion is the only one that will get the update for leashing him.

Go to the entrance to Skyfire Mountains. The easiest way to do this is to go to the sokokar post at The Temple of the Red Lord and fly to Skyfire Mountains. If you do fly there, you will not see the leashed projection with you but he still is.
Go down the path towards the Herculean Ramparts. Around -895,191,336 the quest will update.
Report back to Lord Sheckt at the Skleross Encampment.

Shaman Medicus has encountered disappointment, but he remains determined to find a relic from their Iksarian past, in hopes of preventing an all out war with the Durus clan. He wishes to follow other leads about the relic that are outside of Skyfire and has asked me to show him a way out of the mountain range.

Stage 1

Shaman Medicus is not prepared to leave Skyfire Mountains, but he wishes to know the way to The Overthere.

Start:	I am to leash Shaman Medicus' spiritual projection and then escort it to the Herculean Ramparts that lead to The Overthere.
Complete:	I escorted Shaman Medicus' spiritual projection to safety.

I should return to Lord Sheckt and tell him of the tome we were able to recover.

Start:	I am to report back to Lord Sheckt at the Clan Skleross camp in The Overthere section of Jarsath Wastes.

I told Lord Sheckt of ancient tome we were able to recover in the Skyfire Mountains.

Lord Sheckt rewarded me for the aid I gave Shaman Medicus and all of Clan Skleross, even though we did not find the exact tome he was hoping for.

In case anyone was wondering, once leashed you can take a sokokar to the skyfire mountains post; though you cannot see the spirit, you can proceed down the path for the update.

I've done the first three quests, and all Shaman Medicus is saying to me now is "I am studying the ancient tome. Thank you for the reagents." I turned the reagents in yesterday, so it's definitely not a timer issue of any kind.

I cannot speak drachnid yet; I need to look it up. Maybe this is the reason? Though, this doesn't make sense as I can understand him.

My faction with skelross is currently "threatening," which is more than likely the reason (I'm currently at -39,900). I'll report back once I improve to the next faction to see if he'll give this part of the quest chain.

I'm pretty sure you have to complete the other three quests that Shaman Medicus gives before being able to get this one ("Red, White and Dead; Along Came a Drachnid; Tome Sweet Tome ). I could pick up this quest just fine and had around 3k scorp faction, but a guildie with 7k faction couldn't, and the only difference in what we had done quest-wise was the Red, White, and Dead series of quests. (This quest came up for me after doing "Is There a Shaman in the House?," hence our initial puzzlement about the quest pre-req.)
