Pick and Choose  

I had troubles getting this quest to work at first. I had recieved all the updates for it and could not turn it in for completion until I noticed I did not have any Browncap Mushrooms despite having just harvested them prior to turn in. Dropped quest and redid it which allowed me to pay closer attention and notice that upon looting every Browncap Mushroom the quest Hungry, Hungry Halfings quest (Feerott version) would update and "eat" up the mushroom.

So I would highly recommend completing and deleting said quest before doing this to avoid the frustration.

This quest does indeed work fine, but you can't complete it until you have all the ingredients in your inventory. I confirmed this by banking all my Feerot ingredients, then attempting to turn in. He doesn't have the quest completion trigger up yet.

Went back to the bank, got the ingredients, and wah lah, the quest trigger appeared.

The ingredients have changed however, now they are:
6 Fulginate Clusters
6 Rough Bloodstones
2 Browncap Mushrooms
2 Bonded Loam
6 Ashen Roots
6 Pieces of Teak

I finished this quest up today, but Vashazdar wouldn't give me the update until I went back and harvested all the materials (even after i had the updates). So it seems to work fine, just need to have everything in your inventory for turn in.

Yes, KEEP the harvested items! I did not, and he would not let me go further with him.

How do you get Vashazdar to give you the quest to start with? When i Hail him (i did 50 times now) he just say same thing over and over. I also tried to talk to some other NPCs around but no success either.
