This quest is initiated by examining a pile of bones in the sewers of Deathfist Citadel, after you leave the water but before you drop down into the orc mining section.

The first order of business is to kill orcs until you find a Mining Directive. This drops off orcs in the mines.

After obtaining the Mining Directive you must examine it. It will tell you to find Derreg Banning.

Derreg Banning is in one of the jail cells that you can open after killing Chief Torturer Goortz. Once you get the Deathfist Jail Key, you can open the cell and speak to Derreg.

After this you must kill Alchemist Yallessul to receive the Book of Thoughts. This is an orc in The Grand Alchemist Study at -13.67,8,34.06 . Once you have the book, examine it for a key.

Use the key to open a small chest in the Alchemist's study at -13.14,8.15,41.59 and collect your reward.

I happened upon a tattered scroll containing information about a powerful arcane siege engine called, "the Arm of Innoruuk." I should search within Deathfist Citadel for any clues or additional information surrounding the creation and design of this weapon.

Stage 1

I should see if I can find anything within the mines surrounding this special ore these orcs have been using to construct these weapons.

Start:	Hunt orcs within the mines of Deathfist for some clues.
Complete:	I found a mining directive!

I found a document on one of the orc miners, this may contain a valuable clue.

Stage 2

I should read the mining directive I found on the slain orc miner.

Start:	Examine the mining directive.
Complete:	I've examined the mining directive and obtained a clue!

I've obtained a clue from the orc miners within the mines beneath the citadel. Derreg Banning's signature was at the bottom of the mining directive.

Stage 3

Search within the Deathfist Citadel for Derreg Banning.

Start:	Find and speak with Derreg Banning.
Complete:	I've spoken with Derreg Banning and obtained another clue!

Looks like I found Derreg Banning in the orc jail and he's given up hope. He declined any offer at escape, so we've left him to his fate.

Stage 4

Destroy the Book of Thoughts in the alchemy chamber.

Start:	Recover Derreg Banning's ancient tome, the Book of Thoughts.
Complete:	I've recovered the Book of Thoughts from Alchemist Yallessul.

I recovered the Book of Thoughts from Alchemist Yallessul. All that's left to do is destroy it.

Stage 5

Examine and destroy Derreg Banning's arcane tome, the Book of Thoughts.

Start:	Examine the Book of Thoughts to destroy it.
Complete:	While tearing the book apart, a small key with runes fell to the floor!

It's done, I've destroyed the Book of Thoughts, causing the orcs to lose their plans for the construction of the Arm of Innoruuk siege engine. I also found Derreg Banning's small key that he had stuck in the binding of the book for safe keeping.

Stage 6

Search within the Deathfist Citadel for the runed chest that matches this key.

Start:	Open the runed chest with the small key you found hidden within the Book of Thoughts.
Complete:	I opened the runed chest.

I opened the runed chest and took the contents.

I managed to thwart the plans of the Deathfist orcs, preventing them from constructing other Arm of Innoruuk designed siege weapons. It seems that they had acquired a book with plans from Derreg Banning to build several of these siege weapons to crush their enemies and drive them from the island.
