The quest is repeatable and gives nice exp below lvl 50...
Regarding the Crypt Mummies you can hunt them anytime of the day near the Bay of A.
There spawns 2 kinds of mummies there, the crypt and shimmering, so just keep killing and the crypt ones will apear.

Ok if Aquim just says "mummies" he wants only the plain mummies, no other types will update.

For the 'mummies' quest, I have tried killing the lessers and crypts, and have not gotten any sort of update yet. Aquim did not specify what type, he just said "mummies".

the one for the crypt mummies are a pain. they only spawn at night and only a few spawn.

FYI, yes - this quest is repeatable but you only get one item of loot. I've repeated killing the mummies at least 10 time with the only reward XP and some coin.

If you want Aquim to offer the other quests which I "highly" recommend The Unnamed One, you'll have to delete this one first.

Did this quest a couple of times on my Necromancer. First quest he gave me called for Spectres (yes, the heroics around the tower down on the beach), which fortunately my necro could solo. Received the choice of rewards that Saharane mentions below though the doll was +10 WIS, equippable in ranged, so I'd call that more of a priest reward than mage, plus coin and experience.

Next two times the quest asked for crypt mummies, and awarded only experience. Not much at 54.

The item rewards are good when they come up, but thusfar it seems that's a one-time thing, so repeat at your leisure and desire.

I did this quest 2 times for Aquim. The second time I got a choice of rewards (plus) XP. One was a doll with stats on it for mage class and 2 others. Another was some gauntlets and the third was a ring (Ring of Elemental Command - stats +8int, +20 health, +48 power, +150 cold, +150 vs. heat and +150 vs. mental) I got this after doing "a mummy" 2 times. I picked the quest up again and he changed it slightly to "lesser" mummies. Stopped at that point

Did they remove the coin reward for this quest? I just did it 5 times straight with no reward other than a small amount of xp. Or do you only get reward the first time?

He gives quests for different types of mummies. The quest will state the specific name of the type, i.e. mummies ("a mummy"), lesser mummies, crypt mummies, etc.

Did this quest for ghouls, got the reward, wnet back and got the quest to kill mummies, I've killed every kind of mummy I could find, no updates.hmmm..
