Dire Wolf Location

The Dire Wolf loc is wrong, that is basically a spot on the way to Castle MM which will get you killed. They are located along the river ( The Long Draw River) around -103, 9, -359. Basically, all over that area.

My hunting partner, a 59th level monk, and I, a 58th level swashy, were able to complete this quest line with a good amount of smuggling and a couple handy escapes. I don't know if we could have completed the last portion without her riposte skill, those Wargs can sure bite :-)

Dire Wolves can be found around the location 682, 187, 105 in Loping Plains.

This is the first quest of the Warg Mount questline. NOTE: You will need about 5p to buy your mount at the end of this quest series, and there is no bank in Loping Plains.

Wolfmaster Heinrich would like you to capture and muzzle a dire wolf found around -103, 9, -359 in Loping Plains. He gives you a Dire Wolf Muzzle to do so. NOTE: We strongly suggest you hotkey the leash! This makes it ALOT easier to use.

Equip the muzzle - it goes in a charm slot. Target a dire wolf and activate the muzzle. To activate it you MUST right click and select USE from the menu (or press it's hotkey!). It has a long cast time - almost 8 seconds - but when it's done the dire wolf will be your fully functional pet for 10 minutes. Return to Wolfmaster Heinrich for your reward and the next quest.

It is being reported by players there is a minimum-level 55 requirement for this quest.

Wolfmaster Heinrich wants to ensure a healthy and hearty wolf population in the Loping Plains. To this end he has asked you to capture a dire wolf and bring it back to him for an examination.

Stage 1

Talk to Heinrich for a Dire Wolf Muzzle.

Start:	Get the dire wolf muzzle from Heinrich.
Complete:	Received dire wolf muzzle.

I received a Dire Wolf Muzzle from Heinrich. Now to hunt down a Dire Wolf in the Loping Plains.

Stage 2

Capture a dire wolf with the Wolf Muzzle.

Start:	Capture and muzzle a dire wolf for Wolfmaster Heinrich.
Complete:	Captured Dire Wolf.

I have captured a dire wolf with the Wolf Muzzle.

Stage 3

Return to Wolfmaster Heinrich with the muzzled dire wolf.

Start:	Return to Wolfmaster Heinrich with the dire wolf.
Complete:	Returned to Wolfmaster Heinrich.

I have returned to Wolfmaster Heinrich with the muzzled dire wolf.

Wolfmaster Heinrich wants to ensure a healthy and hearty wolf population in the Loping Plains. He asked me to capture a dire wolf and bring it back to him for an examination. Using a dire wolf muzzle, I ventured out into the Loping Plains, found a wolf, muzzled it and brought it back to him successfully.
