Also the quest that follows is not "Collecting on What Is Earned" but is actually "Starting the Negotiations".

the boots you get off of this quest is well worth it, plus in A Friend in need you get like 50 silver a belt and good xp, so over all its a good quest

This is the first quest in series from Brandus Levine at the docks in the Commonlands.

He wants you to find his missing cargo shipment and sends you to talk to the Ratonga Nethet who hangs out at the Freeport city gates in a corner. ( -1272, -88, 62 ).

Nethet will not give you the information until you do some favors for him which leads to the A Friend in Need quest.

After helping Nethet, you learn Brandus has been capturing refugees and selling them back to Far Seas Trading Company after using magic to erase the refugees memories so that the trading company can sell the refugees to Freeport again. When you confront Brandus, he offers to pay compensation but that you need to talk to his partner Anders Blackhammer to get the money.

Brandus Levine, a rather unusual guard from Freeport, has asked for my help in tracking down a shipment of his that never made it to the Commonlands docks.

Stage 1

Brandus directed me to an individual named Nethet who frequents the City of Freeport gates in the Commonlands.

Start:	I should speak to Nethet about Brandus's shipment
Complete:	I have asked Nethet if he knows anything about Brandus' shipment.

Start:	I need to complete Nethet's tasks for more information
Complete:	I have helped Nethet. His information was very useful.

I've spoken to Nethet and done everything he asked before he finally gave up the information I was looking for.

Stage 2

I should return to Brandus and let him know that it is the Dervish Cutthroats that have his shipment, and his sorcerer.

Start:	I need to return to Brandus
Complete:	I have told Brandus the Dervish have his cargo.

I have told Brandus that his shipment is being held by the Dervish Cutthroats. He did not seem to be happy with the news.

I found the "shipment" Brandus was referring to. He has been selling refugees back to a captain in the Far Seas Trading Company with their memories erased or altered.
