This quest is given by Reinkor McCollin at the docks after you complete the Mysterious Assailants quest. He asks you to slay 10 gnolls, lions, goblins, giants, rumblers, centaurs, irresistible sirens or griffons (random) in the The Thundering Steppes.

Reinkor McCollin has no further leads on the assailants who attacked the couriers and stole his merchandise; however there are more reports of evil creatures terrorizing travelers in the area. For the sake of everyone traveling through the area, I've agreed to help Reinkor by eliminating some of the threat.
I have done my part in keeping the Thundering Steppes a bit safer for travelers.As Reinkor had asked I've eliminated a portion of these evil creatures that pose a threat to unwitting travelers.
Stage 1

Picked this up tonight and was tasked with killing 10 skeletons. No particular type/name was given...refreshing after finding & killing the drowned footsoldiers for the pre-requisite quest.

I was killing Sabertooth Looters near the second Antonica enterance in TS, the one in the northwest--north of coldwind cemetary. Oddly enough, I got a quest ding for this quest which I had mostly written off. I didn't get any dings for killing the looters just a bit to the east of it... maybe it has to be darn near the @#$ towers or something. Yup, just killed even more by the tents right outside the aforementioned Antonica enterance and got updates.

When I received this Quest, I was to slay 10 Goblins. I found the Goblins at the Secret Entrance to Ruins of Varsoon (-483,4,1065). I killed all I could find in this area and received NO updates to the Quest. I then talked to a QM and was told that I was slaying Goblins that are not named in the Quest. I also entered a bug report.
Same issue, got highly experiences skeleton suck as skeletal veteran but no skeleton gives any update

I received the gnoll quest and none of the gnolls I kill (have tried in various locations within TS) are updating the quest or even giving a "No quest items found" message.

This quest appears to be bugged. I went up down the Thundering Steppes killing different Centaurs, including named, Amazon, Steelhoof, and level 32 Heroic centaurs. None of them gave me an update.

I've tried this w/centaurs, killed many of all types, none counted. Went and reset the quest. Got giants. Killed a few and again, none count. I'm bug reporting this quest as borked. Frustrating. I'm a 37 Fury.
I got the quest to kill sirens, but I get no update for killing them :/

If you get the quest to kill skeletons or any other kind of mob from which you dont know how to get update just delete the quest and talk to Reinkor again. He'll give you the quest again with another target. I tried it a few times now.

ok just killed level 27 centaurs for this quest and still no credit. Is there a glitch or am I am not doing something right?

I got the kill 10 centaurs. I am a level 30. I have killed centaurs up to level 26 and still not getting any credit. Do I need to try and find ones higher? If so, where do I look.

i was asked to kill gnolls but none that I have killed have counted towards this quest. I've not tried Skindancers (as detailed below) so will try those.

I don't receive any counter by killing sirens.... maybe it is a bug?

I got the version with the skeletons. It took me a long time before getting any credits for the kills, but I finally figured out that it had to be any level 28 skeleton or higher.
This was when I was level 33.

If i delete the quest, can i get it back. I seem to be having trouble getting the quest update from the gnolls, meybe some of the other mobs would work if i tried them.

The green and blue skindancer heroics located at 325.91, 2.03, 1209.13 by the cliff worked for us. The grey mobs did not work at all. only green and above worked to update the gnolls.

I was asked to kill 10 giants, and have yet to get an update. However, I have not tried killing the ^^ kind yet. I imagine they are the only ones that will give the update.

Finsihed this but there was no third quest. However, I was given this one again so I guess it's now repeatable.

The sirens that update this quest are lvl 28+ irresistable sirens (far southwest coast past giants)

I have the 10 skeletons also and cant get any update, have killed all kinds of undeads.. any news on that?
I had the 10 Lion version. Only level 24 or higher Highland Matriarchs, Huntresses, and Lion Cubs worked for me. All were grey. The Patriarchs did not count for some reason.
I have "10 Gnolls" to kill. Been hunting the Skindancers. ONLY the level 28 ones give Credit quest as I tried 25 to 27 and they did not.

Seems I only get quest credit for this one if I kill xp-giving mobs, which for me means level 28 ones. It could of course be that you only get quest credit for killing 28+ mobs, but considering te rarity of those in TS my guess is the mobs need to be green+ to give quest credit.

I got this quest and was asked to kill 10 Siren. I tried both Alluring and Entrancing Sirens but they did not give updates so I deleted the quest as I know of no other Sirens in Thundering Steppes.

I have the "second part" also - but mine is "kill 10 skeletons".
However, after killing every single "skeleton" model mob in the zone, none of them update the quest. The zombie form mobs (drowned, unearthed, etc.) don't offer updates either.

I was given the gnoll version but for some reason am stuck at 2/10. I don't know if there is a specific gnoll type that I have to kill but I've been slaughtering plenty in TS to fulfill other quests.

reward is 4s and some copper - part 2 of this quest is to slay 10 zombies. Text from npc suggests further quest to follow.
