I am lvl.22 and been killing all arachnids in and around the cave in question. Does the mob hafta conn to me in order to activate the barrel? Everything is grey and want to know I can still hunt this S.O.B.

I tried to spawn him no luck

killed the 2 guards about 8 times, smashed any barrels that appear, killed the weaker spiders all over cave,

and nothing :(

Getting him to spawn the first time (at night) was a real pain, but in the morning, it was dippity-do simple. However, getting the seeps to spawn...still working on that. One down.

Ok yall, here's the trick with soulspike.
The twin guys that are at the end of the
tunnel, kill them TWICE!! Then a small
barrel will appear in the back. Smash the
barrel and wait a min or 2 and Soulspike
will spawn with 2 more little spideys.
Also the seeps are found by killing the
primordial menaces over and over till they
spawn. Happy hunting.

There will be 2 lurid rippers that spawn in his place. They are the placeholders. You have to kill one or two groups of them. Then Soulspike will spawn. Takes about 30 minutes altogether.

I have killed soulspike 2x know and seen him at least 6 others.... I just check after every morning update around 10:30 central or so. If he isnt up kill some other stuff he will be up soon .....

Soulspike is a rare spawn, with no placeholders. Starting from the commonlands exit, go down into the dungeon until you reach the goos. Take the left tunnel and move past a few spiders/skeletons. At the end of this tunnel Soulspike will spawn. Soulspike doesnt wander and his two guards that spawn near him do not. (guards on a different timer, faster timer)

I have never seen Soulspike and getting close to removing the quest. Can anyone give info on: Spawn time, Location, How to cause spawn, and if the Mob wanders or not.

The named spider is Soulspike not Soulskive.
