When you get the book Of Sea, Sails and Slumber, read it while you are by the chest in the water. Then it will update The crossing of the fanged sea. Ive had 2 toons stuck at this point for months.
I can not get past this step; "I must go to the Enchanted Lands and seek out the nautical journal of the legendary halfling Fiddy Bobick" "Seek out information of Bobick in the Enchanted Lands"
I did the "Of Sea, Sails and Slumber" sub-quest, but now hailling either Bibby Bobick or Liddy Bobick will not advance the quest.
In response to: Melui, you are not looking for Biddy, it's LIDDY. Make sure of that as I had made (what sounds like) the same mistake in thinking I couldn't hail him.
This is not a lvl 32 quest!! The Brigands are 37 Her ^^^ . I'm lvl 45 (guard) and I cannot defeat them. I guess I'll get a group to do it with me or wait another 5 lvls.
Melui - You need to get the quest The Crossing of the Fanged Sea. This quest is given by Rath'Adran in Zek. He is found in a tower at the docks. THEN try to Hail Bobick.
I am a lvl 40 monk and was able to do both the Lamia and the Diggs Tall and Stout sections by running in and feigning death, once the agro was off i could look around and search whilst lying on the floor. Also Diggs book is in top left corner of top shelf for those having difficulty
Did the part with the Lamia recently, and she saw through my invis, as a 38 ranger, but I was able to stand out of her sight and adjust the camera to see around the corner, and then click on the object to get the update so you can solo this step. I am having trouble getting the update in digg's tall and stout. I haven't been able to find what to click for the update. Any suggestions?
">> Inside of the shop there is a Lamia Assassin who will spawn and attack you when you enter. He has been changed recently so that he does not see thruogh invis, so you can solo this step with an invisibility. <<
Wrong, at least for some of us. I'm level 50 and went inside invised with Chameleon Totem. The assassin saw right through it. Asassin was a level 40 ^^^. So glad they increased run speed before I did this. I was able to easily outrun the mob."
Falana:
Increasing run speed has nothing to do with being able to get away any easier. All mobs have been increased to match. Run speed increase is just to facilitate running long distances.
She does see invis and so I can't do this quest solo at 44. Sucks when no one does quests for fun. It is just grind grind grind grind grind grind!! You can't get anything done in this game anymore.
I just did the part where you enter the shop, and the Lamia Assasin DOES see through invis. If it was changed recently, they most definitely changed it back. She attacked me straight away. Thankfully my pet held her off long enough for me to get the update.

"Inside of the shop there is a Lamia Assassin who will spawn and attack you when you enter. He sees invisibility, so bring a party. "
Lamia Assassin was a level 39^^ mob when I tried this part. She did *not* see through a 37 swashbuckler's Adept 1 Dazzling Shroud (level 39 stealth) or Adept 1 Freeboot (level 37 group stealth), so I could examine the book at leisure. :)
"First you must examine the Food on Foot for clues. Examine a book on the bookshelf at -99.93, -24.98, -95.56 to advance past this step."
The "book" (it look more like a box on a shelf) was in the place where Treedin Merrythorn is for the drafling access quest. Deputy Guraffin is out in front. The loc right in front of the building is -100, -82. Go inside then go into the other door and shelf will be on the far wall.
Ok I cant find this book! Where is it? I'm not good with reading loc's. I followed it to a tree... and there was nothing around that particular tree!! Help!!
As a Dirge I solo'd this up to killing Corrupted Brig's.
When I got to Kevlins Gear for clues I walked in, got argo from Lamia Assassin pulled her to EL Zone in. Rooted her, ran back and inspected all I needed.
When I got to Digg's, All I did was walk in invis and peeked in the shop. I mean barely in door till I can see the bookshelf and highlighted book. Inspected it and walked out. No argo.
I'm lvl 36 and I can't get the quest from Biddy. Just to be sure I found Libby and she tells me to "take a rest", I don't recieve a quest? What am I doing wrong?
Diggs Tall n Stout is actually named The Loom in RV. It's on the circular path. Kill the aggro mobs inside then inspect a book on the left. After that you must kill 5 brigands to obtain keys, they can be found near the entrance of RV. Next take the right path (if you were looking from the zone entrance) and go all the way to the river's bridge. Swim between the bridge and the edge of the zone and there will be a box underwater to inspect surrounded by (solo) aggro mobs. Inspect it twice to get a book, then go near the zone entrance to read the book so you don't have a lvl 48^^^ X2 mob pop on you. After that you must return to Rath Adran in Zek to get to the next step. It asks you to go to the Drafling Tower in Rivervale to find the wherabouts of Tinmizers Astounding Frost Disruptor. No further info yet.
after tall and stout you will be asked to kill corupted brigands or bandits in RV for 5 keys. Then you will need to find a box at the bottom of a pond in RV(follow right wall after zoning into RV). Examine the box after you have the 5 keys and the quest will end. Go back to the "crossing the fanged sea" quest after this step.
This quest is a sub-quest of The Crossing of the Fanged Sea quest. This is part of the Everfrost access quest. This portion of the quest is initiated when you speak to Biddy Bobick in the Enchanted Lands as part of the Crossing of the Fanged Sea quest.
Biddy will send you to Rivervale to speak with Liddy Bobick. Liddy can be found at -77.48, -17.44, -14.32 in the Fool's Gold. She will send you out to search for some clues.
First you must examine the Food on Foot for clues. Examine a book on the bookshelf at -99.93, -24.98, -95.56 to advance past this step.
You must then examine Kevlin's Gear for clues. This is a small shop which is surrounded by aggro mobs ( -59, -10, -155 ) . Inside of the shop there is a Lamia Assassin who will spawn and attack you when you enter. She can see invisibility so bring help or be ready to run.
After this you must visit Digg's Tall and Stout and search for clues. Diggs Tall and Stout is also known as the Loom and is where the Corrupted Seamstresses and Tailors spawn. You will need to have your tank enter the house and spawn the bad guys, pull them out and kill. Then everyone can go in and inspect the book on the bookshelf ( -196.82, -17.6, -17.65 ) .
After this you must slay Corrupted Brigands in Rivervale until you have 5 keys. They are a semi-common drop. There are a couple of brigands camps in the zone, but I recommend the large camp to the right as you enter the zone (towards the bridge that leads to brambles) for two reasons. First off it's the largest of the camps, and secondly because it's right next to Rivergate, which you must inspect for the next step.
Once you have all of the keys, you must visit Rivergate. If you choose the big camp then it's the stump at the end of the river ( -193, 0.5, 195 ) . After visiting it you will have to swim down to the bottom of the river right there and inspect a chest at -204, -9.6, 203 in the water. You will find the book "Of Seas, Sails and Slumber" in this chest.
Read the book "Of Sea, Sails and Slumber" to close this quest. The Crossing of the Fanged Sea quest will then update and you should return to that walkthrough from this point on.
