Quest flavor text indicates that a dagger will be created, but the reward is a sword with the stats as listed below. There aren't different rewards based on class.

Quest can be completed by killing an Accursed Rock Heap. Reward is Guardians Blade, 1h Sword +2 str, +2 wis, +3 health, +5 power

This quest is initiated by examining a "Sharp Rock Shard". This item is dropped by monsters in the Thundering Steppes.

You must "find a rock heap to make a suitable handle". You get this by killing an Accursed Rock Heap, Unsanctified Rock Heaps or Fey Rock Heaps in the Thundering Steppes.

The reward is a Guardian's Blade.

I found a rock shard amongst the rubble of one of the rock heaps I had an encounter with here in the Thundering Steppes. The shards edge was very sharp and if it weren't for the shape it would make for a great dagger. I'll keep an eye out for a rock shard that would be just right.

Stage 1

Find the perfect rock shard from one of the rock heaps for fashioning a dagger.

Start:	Find a rock shard from a rock heap that will make a decent blade.
Complete:	I finally found a decent rock shard.

I finally found a rock shard that I can fashion into a dagger.

After many encounters with the rock heaps of the Thundering Steppes I finally found a rock shard that I can fashion into a dagger.
