The opening halfway up the cliff is the exit, not the entrance. Enter by jumping in the pool as mentioned below.

How do you enter the cave? The entrance is about half way up the cliff, and the wall is not climbable. The top of the cliff is an overhang, so dropping off only succeeded in going kersplat!

This quest is not bugged. You get those earrings after you complete his three quests. All you need to do is talk to him one more time after you turn the quest in. He will thank you again, and the choice of the four earrings are yours.

Knowledge of the Taloned Vigil
Speed of the Taloned Vigil
Wisdom of teh Taloned Vigil
Strength of the Taloned Vigil

Each Earring has Regeneration VI on it with a usable level at 64 for players, smae stats except modified for each class.

Actually I think you get to choose earring when you have done the 3 quests from this guy. I got the choice after colony which I finished after the flame of the corpse candle.
Also, at least for me, this series was bugged in the way that I didn't get any a-xp for any of the 3 quests (Information from the droag, the flame of the corpse candle and colony)

There is no reward "Shar's Faith" from this quest i believe. Should be Nil in rewarded Item.

You can access the Ravasect cave on this island by jumping in the deep pool near The King of Balefires mob. When you jump down there is a underwater cave that you swim through. Inside are egg bearer beetles and ravasect guards. All encounters are solo encounters.

Once you turn in the quest, hail Aetryol once again and he rewards you with one of four earrings. The earring I recieved was the Knowledge of the Taloned Vigil (+20 sta, +15 int, +20 health, +20 power, effect: Regeneration VI) Each earring has the same effect.
