This is one of three quests initiated by reading the book "Gnomes And The Art Of Clockwork Maintenance". This book can be purchased from Sage Nevarius Orvalis at the library in North Freeport. The quest consists of three kill tasks. After each task you must read the book again to receive the next. They are:

Kill 6 Murkwater Henchmen
Kill 8 Murkwater Vigilants
Kill 7 Murkwater Vigilants

After completing all three quests from this book you receive a furniture version of Gnomes And The Art Of Clockwork Maintenance, that can be placed in your house and read.
