This quest is given by An Exiled Droag ( -130, 78.4, 1064 ) who is down a climbable wall on the Drednever Crash Site island in The Bonemire. It is a lengthy signature quest with a Fabled reward. You must be level 60+ to receive this quest.
The first order of business is to find and read the book of Sacrifice in the Sanctum of the Scaleborn. This is located at -101, 66.76, -34.23 . This will give a new quest The Book of Sacrifice that you must harvest an unhatched dragon egg. This is also in the Sanctum of the Scaleborn within the Reservoir of the Wraith near 82, 39, -166 . After harvesting the egg you must go back to the book and place it on top of it. You can then read the book and get your update. Note: This requires a Gathering skill of at least 340.
The next step sends you to the Palace of the Awakened in The Barren Sky to find another book - the Book of Power.
You must first touch the book at -43, 57, -7 (on the third floor) and this will give you a new quest The Book of Power, which will send you to find the key to unlock the book. You can find the key at 44, -0.12, -101 (ground floor).
Then you need to find Book of Trials. This is in upper area of The Halls of Fate in The Bonemire at -19.9, 2.35, -96.87 . Obtaining it gives a sub-quest to find a fallen adventurer. They can be found at -3, -53, 270 in the Halls of Fate.
Return and read the Book of Trials. You must then complete four trials:
Trial of Alacrity: Invis to the last room and clear it. This initiates a ring event. At the end of the ring event is a named mob who will complete the trial.
Trial of Endurance: In this trial make your way down until you see a blue column. There will be spawns of level 4x 68 ^ mobs. Clear these for approx 15-20 rounds and eventually 3 named mobs will then spawn up above. The first wave is 3 68 ^^ mobs. Kill these and a named 71^^^ will spawn up top near the door. Kill him to complete the trial.
Trial of Spirit: This is a solo task, similar to the Trial of Harclave. Click the statue and you will be turned into a dragon. Clear the mobs in the room to initiate a ring event. At the end a 70 ^^ dragon will spawn. Kill him to complete the trial.
Trial of Leadership: This is an epic x 4 epic raid instance.
Once all the trials are completed, speak with the Keeper outside to claim your reward.

An old, exiled Droag has told me of an honor bestowed upon those who pass many trials. Though he does not know the specifics, he's told me that there are places I can look for the information.
I have found and read the first tome, the Book of Sacrifice.
I've found and read the erudite's second tome, the Book of Power.
I've found and read the third book the erudite left, the Book of Trials.
I've spoken to the Keeper outside the Halls of Fate.
I've completed the Trial of Alacrity!
I've completed the Trial of Endurance.
I've faced the Trial of Spirit, and passed with ease.
I've completed the Trial of Leadership, and must only return to the Keeper to claim my reward.
I've spoken to the Keeper and received the Mark of the Awakened!I have triumphed over every trial put to me, and achieved the Mark of the Awakened. Soon enough all dragons shall know me, and tremble before my name, for I come for them.

Looks like you need gathering at 340 to be able to get the egg, I FDed my way down to it, but was unable to get the egg with 331 gathering.

When you are in the lower levels and come to the pit with all of the dragonspawn whelps - turn right and enter that hallway. Not the one on the opposite side of the room that leads to the Carnivorous Pillar.
The mobs in this hallway to the right are higher - they were green heroics and aggro to my level 80 - unlike most of the other mobs in this zone who were gray. The Doomwing Dragonswawn see invis and are mixed up with the Droags so I was not able to invis my way in. Pulling singles that I could solo with my necro was a fun challenge.
Once you find the body in the chamber that holds Sothis (just inside the door to the right), you need to watch out for patrols.

Ok, this took me a bit to figure out from the bits and peices i got from this page so far:

Quest says to find the book of sacrifice and read it but it says to leave the book alone. My journal says to speak to some erudite first where is the erudite at?

Has anyone taken the dragon since the EoF update. I've been in a full raid of 70's and cant do it. He knocks our tank out in one-two shots.

I think the fact that it says 'Seek out the Keeper outside the Halls of Fate, for he shall begin your trials' is kind of a good indication that it does..

1) You do NOT need to know Erudian for this quest..
2) I did not need to go back and read the Book of Power again.. My quest automatically advanced after getting the Book of Trials to "Seek out the Keeper outside the Halls of Fate, for he shall begin your trials."

It turns out you need Erudian languagee to read the books to advance the quest. In Qeynos it is in Starcrest Commune(Scribe Ommanoden). In Freeport it is at Stonestair Byway (Scribe Johari). and both are at the scribe shops sold by the spell scroll people.

I just redid this quest and again I forgot to get Erudite language primer. I tried to read the book, but it said I couldn't and the writing was all encrypted, I thought I heard it ding, but volume was low and thought I was hearing things. I looked and the quest didn't update. so, I continued on and found the egg and it let me harvest it. I thought the egg was for a different quest and paid no attention.
I call home, get the Erudite language primer, and notice a DFC group forming, I needed the AA, so I mentored down to join. A bad pickup and it broke up mid-way through DFC. I go LD and when I re-log, I'm outside in Zek and couldn't finish my disco AA or finish my quests. I look in my journal and see this quest under Miscellaneous and it has, "[70] The Book of Sacrifice" listed. apparetly the quest did update without the Erudite language, but it turned into another quest.
Maybe someone can make note of it so people will know that the MOA has advanced. I'm sure the other books do it as well, as I noticed the error when I was on the POA book last time and figured it the only book that needed Erudite. The other quests will probably be [70]The Book of Power & [70]The Book of Trials.

The Unhatched Dragon Egg can be found in the Reservoir of the Wraith which is 2 lvls down. After u find the book, u continue down further to find the egg.

Instead of standing still, move to back right corner of the area right after the hall and before the room with the blue column, as long as every stays in corner area they won't aggro. Tank can move forward a bit to pull them as everyone's ready, just watch out for the pops in the area.
after harvesting the adventurer, you return to the Book of Trials, not the book of power.

We discovered something about the Trial of Endurance the other night. The waves of mobs that spawn typically come after your group immediately, leaving very little time to regain power inbetween fights. However, if after the final mob in a wave is killed, NO ONE MOVES, the mobs don't come after you. Only when someone moves again will they come. Makes this trial cake provided everyone cooperates.

This raid isnt hard with 4x 68+ group, you should be fine, but there are two things you need to know to succeed.
1. As stated previously respawn is fast, thus you must kill and move , kill and move as a group, dial-up'ers and laggers will get your whole group killed by junk mob adds so be prepared to disband slackers before they get you add-killed.
2. The final mob is the Guardian of Leadership which a dragon ghost thingy that blasts a level 75 AOE every 30 seconds called "Burden of the Wyrmkin". This is a Vox like DoT AOE with no safe area to joust. Thus you need to have a Templar or Mystic throw up their arcane group cure every time this guy AOE's goes off. If they do this your not gonna have too much of a problem.

The raid part goes pretty quicky. You basically clear the dungeon (respawn is short though, between 5-10 minutes) to get to the named at the end. You have to kill a couple named encounters in before you get to him, which can drop metal. The final named is a dragon.. kill him to update your quest.. then talk to the NPC again outside of HoF for your reward. There is no lockout.

The names you need to kill are stun and mezz immune me and a chanter buddy tried to duo him like we do with any onter named and it turned out badly. It seems Sony dosent want us to duo this quest.

Respawn timer on egg in SoS for first part is 1 minute. And if you don't have the quest at that spot, you can't see the egg.

The book inside halls of fate is basicly at first named that sends you to find skeleton of lost adventurer,
He is located deep down where the class hat dragon is (no loc soz),
After this you need to complete trials belive this to be 4 atm have just finished 3rd trial the starter mob for the trials is at the begining on the platform hanging over the drop down,
he'll spawn as you get close everyone who needs the update will need to hail to begin the timer for trial of aclarity,
Trial of Aclarity:invis to last room clear this then a second spawn of mobs will instantly spawn kil lthose then a named will spawn kill it this end trial,

When you go into palace of the awakened you have to examine the book, which then tells you to find the key, find it and go back to the book. All i know so far.

The exiled droag would not give me his quest I was level 59, but a level 60 with me was able to get it. If your under 60 don't waste the walk.
Iacon, no, you cannot choose rewards. It is a signature quest for mages and priests. There are others for fighters and scouts, although I am not sure where or who gives them.
Is there a choice of rewards at the end of the quest? One that scouts and fighters can equip?

After you harvest the egg you go back to the Book and place it on top. Read the book and get your update. Next part sends you to the Palace of the Awakened in Barren Sky to find another book. Still searching for it there.
