Took my 65 Wizard to see him today and he was only a level 32 ^^^ Heroic, not Epic

Solo'd him today as 70 conj. Took about 45 seconds. They just dont make em like they used to.

Our groups first attempt was a wipe though with the captain in the red =/.

But we took him down last night with a 40sk, a 40inq, a 38 necro, and a 37 ass. Was super hard to keep the tank up and he died once and we switched to the assassin tanking while the sk revived and ran back and took over again. Was the hardest fight we have done so far.

Did him today with 40 Pal, 40 Temp, 40 Troub, 40 Enc, 38 Fury, 38 Mystic

He has been toned down. Did him yesterday with 8 players, which included a 41 SK tank and three healers, lowest player was a L34. He didn't seem to AE nuke like he did a week or so ago, so was much easier than we'd expected. He will power drain the main tank, but we took him down in maybe 2-3 minutes without ever being in trouble. I think a group of 6 could do him if all L35-41 or so, so long as MT is over 40 and you have two healers.

Did him last night with level 41 berserker and fury. He will spend the first 2 minutes casting constantly until he is out of power. He has a specials he can still use despite having no power.

He does a large lifetap which hit me for 1200 and healed him about 600. More annoying was his 'siphon power' attack which claims to drain you of 300 power. It puts him to about 30% power, so he seems to get much more than 300 out of it. It also says it drained 300, even if you only have some fraction of 300 to be drained. Of course once he has charged up his power this way he will again go on a spell casting frenzy and spend it all again.

Just took him down last night with a 37 templar and 39 SK, both well equipped. It was a long fight, maybe 15-20 minutes. We pulled him away from the camp and I placed myself far enough away to avoid his AoE lighting and dots. Used my wand to nuke whenever I wasnt shielding the SK. Didnt have to heal except for when the 1k nuke hit. Did end up running out of power at the end and used clicky heals for a bit.

Wow, now this guy is fun, even as a grey. Am 45 Warden, that solo'ed zone. Octo was a pretty sight, yet easy, pull to shore, and he summoned nothing else, 12 min fight in all. The Cap though, diffrent story. Buffed right as they gave the early morning half hour call till server shut down. Started fight with 29 mins to end it. He was Epic times 2. Over that time, i struggled like mad to get him down. At 15 min call, had him to down to 59 percent, found that strickly pushing lowest level blasts repeatly in heroic, speed up the damage ratio, while preserving my mana. Still, sheesh, server went down about min and half early in which i had him to 2 percent. Depressing, but most fun i had in while, as i was racing the clock. Good show Cap, I just wasn't quick enough. @ -

very very easy. took him down today with a 38 pally (maintank), 33 pally (me), 31 Conj, 31 Inquisitor, 31 Wiz, 30 Warden. Just keep your power about even with his hp, have to maintank taunt a lot, get everyone to sit there and melee him when not useing a skill, and have your healers do heal spells only until near the end. Sometimes he can get out of hand with that 1k spell, used it on our MT 3 times in a row and we barely saved him, took a lot of power out of the healers to get him back up to green.

BTW we also got the sea key, no clue wat it's for.

He dropped a Sea Key for us as well. He is doable with a single group of a 37 guardian, 30 templar, 34 fury, 34 ranger, 31 monk, and 32 swashie. He didn't seem to melee very strongly, but had a skill of some sort that would hit me (37 guardian, full Feysteel armor) for close to 1,000 damage each time.

The hardest thing about him is that he has an insane amount of hit points. If he's still a loot con to you, don't even bother attempting him unless you have a very solid tank and at least two DPS classes. Without the DPS, the fight takes so long your healers will be bone dry long before he's near dead.
