A Hulking Salamander  

Like many named creatures it is immune to some weapons yes however its not a slashing/piercing/crushing immunity. I was using two slashing weapons (since I'm a dual weilding ranger). One was my dull tomahawk and one was my polished granite tomahawk both rewards from "an axe from the past" heritage quest. It was immune to my "treasured" dull tomahawk but not to my "legendary" polished granite tomahawk. Killed this named twice now didn't get anything not mentioned allready (although its a "paladium figurine" not "palladium fugurine").

Dropped Bone Handled Cutlass as well. Nice one-handed weapon.

I disagree. I fought him today and he was certainly immune to Piercing damage at the very least. He is grey to me and my weapons are both orange to me (and attuned, trust me) and every time I swung at him, the word "Immune" would flash. However, I was able to kill him with my bow while a tank just held aggro, so he isn't immune to Ranged damage.

This is mob seems to be immune to physical damage. I have tried piercing, slashing and crushing weapons and it always said he was immune. So be prepared to nuke him down if you decide to pull him. Hes at the left end of the tunnel where the blackblood salamanders spawn on lvl 4.
