When the mirror is empty, right-click to save an AA profile. If you want to update the profile or store a completely new profile after a respec of your AA's, right-click and choose Load Profile. The profile stored on the mirror and the AA's stored on your character will now swap.

Note: If you own multiple houses you can not use multiple mirrors for the same character. You can place a mirror in each house if you prefer, but only one of them can be used to store a profile.
