What:  Permadeath Contest

Rules:  In the interest of brevity, I'm altering the rules a little.  Nine is a lot of lives and for the purposes of this contest, it might be best to shorten a bit so people can get their prizes before the next expansion ;)

1. My character has 5 lives.  No excuses, and no mulligans. After death number five, I will delete my character.
2. I will screen shot and email Zam about every single death so I can't forget.
3. I will only play solo. No groups, no raids, no help. I play alone, and decline all group invites.
4. I can use the broker to get gear I need.
5. I can /claim items (since that locks them off other characters).
 

Entry:  To enter please email Kiara (kiaraeq2@gmail.com) with the name, class, and server of your entry character.  This must be a freshly created character and verifiable at all times on EQ2 Players (be good and don't twink your toon).  Again in the interest of brevity, we don't want this contest running forever.  People want swag.  Therefore, we will accept entries for one week starting on 4/7/08.  At the end of this week (4/11/08) people may start playing.  The contest will end six weeks from the day play starts (thats 5/24/08 btw).  At the end of six weeks, the player with the highest level and fewest deaths, wins.  Players will send us emails with screenshots of each death.  If there's a funny story attached, please feel free to tell it.  We'll write it up and post it with the results!  We will verify deaths and levels on EQ2 players.

Prizes:  First, second, and third place prizes will be:  an RoK all in one key, a copy of the current issue of EQuinox magazine, and a 30 day gift card.  Our honorable mentions will be fourth and fifth place and these folks will be getting an RoK all in one key.

Eligibility:  Zam employees and SOE employees are obviously excluded from playing.  Mostly cause they can get their own swag and should be buying stuff for me!  Please note that the EQuinox mag will take a little bit of time to reach you, since it's shipped from the UK.

****  edit 4/11/08 - Please note that gameplay does not start until the entry period is closed.  It was my fault for not setting a specific time at the very beginning.  My deepest apologies for the confusion.  Gameplay starts after 5pm central time.  Entries will not be accepted after that time.  Anyone who started playing early may remake their characters before 5pm.
